All of my life I’ve told or written stories, but now that I’ve retired from teaching, I am working on getting them published. Most writers know that there’s a 99% rejection rate, so I want my writing to be as polished as possible. That is why I’ve entered a few writing contests. In fact, some of these contests allow you to get feedback from other writers. Those are the kind that scared me the most, but I have done some now, and I am so glad I did. The other writers’ feedback has been so helpful, and I am getting so much experience.
